Fruit Cocktail Dessert

GG makes this easy and very tasty dessert quite often. It is yummy!

1 cup flour
1 c sugar
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
1 egg
1 15 ounce can of fruit cocktail (undrained)

Preheat oven to 325 degrees
Grease a 9 x 9 pan
Put all the ingredients in a bowl and stir.
Pour into the pan.
Mix 1/2 cup brown sugar with 1/2 cup chopped nuts and sprinkle them on top.
Bake at 325 for approximately 35 minutes.
Serve with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry on top.
